What is Satvik Lifestyle?

Satvik is a lifestyle to develop, a habit to cultivate, and a belief to purify our thoughts.

Satvik means pure, clean, truth and honesty.

How to become sattvik person?

To become a sattvik person, one must start believing in purity first. Thats the start of a sattvik lifestyle.

Some very quick qualities to understand are –

  1. Work-life balance
  2. Positive attitude towards everything
  3. Physical exercise and sattvik diet for the body
  4. Spirituality practices for a sattvik mind

What is sattvik food?

Satvik food is almost 5000 years old in our human kind.

We might have seen many people who choose to eat vegetarian, not to eat onions and garlic,

as these things make us impulsive and makes it tougher to meditate and concentrate in any defined thing.

A sattvic diet is followed by sages, and people who highly follow Yoga and Ayurveda.

A Satvik diet defines Ahimsa, that means a person wouldn’t like to harm any other living being, to satisfy his/her hunger.

For a Sattvic lifestyle you should include all seasonal foods, ripe vegetables, non-meat based proteins, dairy products in your diet.

Sattvic Lifestyle Food List:

Nuts Seeds and Oils
: Hemp Seeds, Coconuts, pine nuts, walnuts, sesame seeds, pumpkin seeds, and flax seeds.

Fruits:  All fruits are Pure Sattvik

Dairy: Milk must be obtained from an animal that has a spacious outdoor environment, quality of pasture to feed on, water to drink, is treated with love and care.

Vegetables: All vegetables are Sattvic, excluding peppers, garlic, onion, and mushrooms.

Whole grains: Some preparations are khichdi, kheer, roti.

Legumes
: Mung beans, lentils, yellow split peas, chickpeas, beans, common beans, organic tofu, and bean sprouts if well prepared.

Sweeteners: Our Ancestors have used raw honey, jaggery, or raw sugar. You may choose those as sattvik food or palm jaggery, and coconut palm sugar are other choices.

Spices: Basil and Coriander

With such sattvik food in your daily diet you become more sattvik in your health, and also mind.

The most sattvik food:

After sharing the sattvik lifestyle and the sattvik food types to follow the path of sattvik living, I would now like to share the most sattvik food you can ever find – Pure Desi Cow A2 Ghee.

You should be surprised to know that Desi Cow’s Milk (and hence Desi Cow Ghee) attracts positive energy from its surroundings.

And when this ghee is added in our diet, as a result, it gives you an added advantage with this unique ability.

Because of this ability, we also call Indian cow milk or Indian cow ghee a divine super food. And is use them in the devotional practices like offering food to the Gods.

The reason is pure scientific.

Considering this powerful fact I would highly recommend you to include Desi Cow Ghee in your daily diet to help your dosha turn more sattvik.

This Desi Cow Ghee can be used directly, or included in food like rice, curries, desserts, chapaties etc.

At Hous of Life, we maintain our own desi cows (Indian breed of cows) which produces A2 proteins.

And we use the traditional bi-directional hand-churned method for extracting white maakhan (butter) out of the curd. Because we want to get the best nutrition in ghee which we cannot get if we churn using the one direction machine.

Then we heat this white makhan, by burning the dried cow dung.

There is a reason why we call it the purest ghee. And, you must check this out to know why we call it real pure.

I will be happy to answer your queries.
